Environment and Health

What is the environment health project?

This project is a new educational outreach program designed to teach Edmonton-area elementary classrooms about the importance of environmental quality on human health, and the positive and detrimental effects students’ actions can have on the environment around them. Teams of medical students present three engaging, interactive lessons on Water, Food, and Air, followed by a final wrap-up and review session that allows elementary students to integrate what they have learned about the interdependence of environmental and human health. Volunteers have a lot of fun presenting the sessions, and all medical students - regardless of their background in the environmental sciences - are encouraged to volunteer with us!
